HomeVault Privacy Policy

Overview
HomeVault is a private home inventory and warranty tracker. The app is designed to work without an account and to store inventory records on the user's device.
HomeVault does not collect personal data, does not use analytics SDKs, does not show ads, and does not use tracking.
Information We Do Not Collect
HomeVault does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data.
HomeVault does not collect:
- Names, email addresses, phone numbers, or account identifiers
- Home inventory data
- Receipt images or item photos
- Serial numbers
- Warranty records
- Purchase prices or purchase dates
- Store names
- Notes
- Location data
- Analytics events
- Advertising identifiers
- Tracking data
Information Stored Locally
Inventory records are stored locally on the user's device. This can include item names, rooms, categories, brands, models, serial numbers, purchase dates, purchase prices, store names, warranty dates, notes, and related record details entered by the user.
HomeVault does not upload home inventory, receipts, photos, serial numbers, warranty records, or notes to any server.
The current version of HomeVault does not use iCloud sync.
Photos and Receipts
Item photos and receipt images are stored locally on the user's device.
HomeVault keeps item photos and receipt photos separate inside the app's local storage. These images are not uploaded to a server by HomeVault.
Camera and Photo Library Access
HomeVault may request camera access only when the user chooses to take a photo inside the app.
HomeVault may request Photo Library access only when the user chooses to import a photo inside the app.
Camera and Photo Library access are used only for the selected photo action.
Local Notifications
HomeVault may use local notifications for warranty reminders.
Warranty reminder notifications are scheduled on the user's device. HomeVault does not send reminder data to a server.
In-App Purchases
HomeVault Pro purchases are processed by Apple StoreKit.
Apple may process purchase-related information according to Apple's own policies. HomeVault does not receive payment card details from Apple.
Data Sharing
HomeVault does not sell personal data.
HomeVault does not share home inventory records, receipt images, item photos, serial numbers, warranty records, or notes with third parties.
HomeVault does not use third-party analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, tracking SDKs, DeepSeek, OpenAI, Gemini, or other third-party AI APIs.
Data Retention
HomeVault records remain on the user's device until the user edits or deletes them, deletes photos from within the app, deletes exported files, or removes the app and its local data from the device.
If the user deletes the app, iOS may remove the app's local data according to the device's system behavior.
Children's Privacy
HomeVault is not intended for children under 13. HomeVault does not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. If the policy changes, the updated version will be posted on the public privacy policy page with a new effective date.
